Goblin Automotive have the opportunity to fully and sympathetically restore this incredible Lotus Essex Turbo Esprit in the unmistakable Essex livery of red, blue and silver.
Denoted by Lotus as ‘002’ indicating the LHD version of only a handful of special development cars of the period, this car might be the only remaining Lotus Essex Turbo development car in the world.
Goblin has already been in correspondence with Lotus who have confirmed the car’s identity as the car unveiled by Essex Petroleum and Lotus at London’s Royal Albert Hall in 1980.
Though it has an interesting and somewhat mysterious history following that event
